Up-skilling
Great news! As a Frequent Fitter Club member you can participate in our gasfitting up-skilling programme to earn your continuing professional development points. We work closely with the Master Plumbers, Gasfitters & Drainlayers NZ Inc. (MPGD) to offer you a nationwide gas fitter up-skilling programme.
There are a number of up-skilling courses available via the MPGD, including a selection that focus on you specifically as a gas fitter.

Course Registration:
You must register for each course at least five days before the date it’s being held on. A place is not guaranteed if you turn up on the day or night.
Registering for each course is important, because it allows the facilitator to make sure there are enough course materials, seating, etc. If you're registered you can also be advised of venue and any time changes or course cancellations.

Registration form:
Registration is required at least five days before a course. To do this simply follow the three simple steps below:
- Print off this registration form
- Complete it in full
- Send this form to the Master Plumbers, Gasfitters & Drainlayers NZ Inc for processing along with your cheque (or payment details).

Course charges (excluding GST):
Active Frequent Fitter Club members can attend any up-skilling courses shown on the course calendar or in the course details indicated with **. These courses have been created or funded by Contact Energy at the discounted rates as agreed with the MPGD.
Please note you will be charged the Non-member rates below for those up-skilling courses that are not indicated with a ** e.g. Pipe sizing/Gas standards courses.

Please note your membership of the Frequent Fitter Club (including whether you qualify as an active member) and/or MPGD will be verified prior to the course date.
*An active Frequent Fitter Club member is a gas fitter who is a member of the Frequent Fitter Club and has registered an average of one or more new Contact Rockgas LPG or natural gas connections each month with Contact at www.frequentfitter.co.nz over the previous three month period prior to registering for the up-skilling course.
Course payments:
All course payments must be made at time of your registration to secure your place on the course. You will be charged an additional $10.00 administration fee should you register on the night.
Gasfitting up-skilling course payments can be made directly to the “Master Plumbers, Gasfitters & Drainlayers NZ Inc” by cheque, direct credit or credit card (Visa & Mastercard accepted only).
Please note you cannot use your Frequent Fitter reward points for course payments.
MPGD will email you an electronic tax invoice as proof of your payment once payment has been approved or cleared in the case of a cheque (this could take between three and five days).
You will need to contact the MPGD directly if you have any enquiries regarding payments made. Please note: Contact does not accept any course payments on your behalf.
