Gas certificates
You no longer need to send us your gas certificates for us to confirm your connection. We’ll be able to validate your connections via the Plumbers Board website www.pgdb.co.nz. The name of the new connection entered on www.frequentfitter.co.nz must match that on the gas certificate, and show as being one of our customers. All connections must be registered online with the FFC within 60 days of the connection being made.
If you usually send your gas certificates to your local Rockgas supplier, please ask them if they would like you to continue to send them your gas certificates.
If your local Rockgas supplier wishes you to send them your gas certificates, then we’ll use it to validate New Connections. We don’t require you to provide us with one.
Location certificates
The Hazardous Substance & New Organisms Act 1996 (HSNO regulations) require sites storing over 100kg of LPG to have a current Location Test Certificate.
From 2 March 2011, LPG suppliers must not supply LPG to a site holding more than 100kg (that’s just a Contact Rockgas LPG HomePack and a couple of 9kgs for the barbecue!) unless the site holds a valid Location Test Certificate, or is following the requirements of a code of practice. If a site storing over 100kgs of LPG does not have a Location Test Certificate, you should recommend that they contact an ERMA approved test certifier to obtain a Location Test Certificate.
